Learn Swedish

While it is possible to get started in Sweden using English, we encourage you to learn Swedish if you plan to make Sweden your new home. Over time, it will open doors to new opportunities, meaningful relationships, and a deeper connection to Swedish society. A simple “Hej” and “Tack” can go a long way in everyday life! You will also discover that the Swedish alphabet comes with three extra letters: Å, Ä and Ö. They might look a little unfamiliar at first, but learning them is part of the fun of getting to know Sweden and its language.
